Blake Monroe’s First WWE Main Roster Opponent

Blake Monroe is set to make her WWE SmackDown in-ring debut next week, and her first opponent has been revealed.

After WrestleMania 42, vignettes began airing for the arrival of ‘The Glamour’ Blake Monroe after she lost her final NXT match to Tatum Paxley back at NXT Revenge.

Blake would make her one and only physical in-ring appearance on SmackDown in London back in June, when she jumped Giulia following her victory over Kiana James.

In the weeks since, Blake has continued to attack various other women backstage on the show including Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae and Chelsea Green.

Blake Monroe To Face Giulia In SmackDown Debut

Fans have begun wondering what the hold up is on WWE actually booking Blake Monroe to wrestle on the show, but after over 100 days of in-ring inactivity, the main roster fans are finally set to get their first taste of the Glamour in the ring.

In a WWE digital exclusive following last night’s SmackDown show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis approached Blake backstage, saying that it was time for her to step into the ring.

Giulia would then step up to Blake, with her being confirmed as Blake’s debut opponent next week on SmackDown.

Is It Over For Giulia In WWE?

When Giulia first signed with WWE in 2024, she did so coming off a major run in Stardom and being one of two marquee names to defect from the promotion to Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold.

Arriving at NXT No Mercy later that year, Giulia had a lot of fanfare, even going on to capture the NXT Women’s Championship at New Year’s Evil in 2025.

However, after moving up to the main roster after WrestleMania 41, her SmackDown run has yet to light the world on fire due to start and stop pushes and infrequent booking of the women’s division.

Giulia failed to qualify for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder match at SummerSlam, with her match ending in just two minutes, which saw the former two-time Women’s United States Champion effectively be squashed.

While AJ Styles would go on to ask fans to have patience in regards to Giulia’s booking after the loss, she hasn’t appeared on SmackDown since, with her losing to Michin at last night’s WWE Main Event tapings, and now is likely set to lose to Blake Monroe in her debut match next week.

The only thing that may save Giulia’s run in WWE at the moment is a move to Raw, but even then, WWE has proven they aren’t exactly in a rush to feature her prominently.
