Released WWE Star Under Contract To Company, Unable To Appear For AEW AEW/WWE

Since Triple H took over as the Chief Content Officer of WWE, many previously released names have made their return to the company.

One name who has yet to make his return to WWE television is Tyler Breeze, though Breeze has been appearing on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel alongside Xavier Woods.

Woods and Breeze’s playthrough of GM Mode got Breeze a spot on the WWE 2k23 roster as a ‘WWE legend’, and we may now know why that happened.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Breeze is under a contract to with WWE, specifically for the UpUpDownDown brand, and has been for ‘quite some time’.

Fightful has not learned if the deal has any wrestling provisions or restrictions associated with it, except for one WWE source noting that it does prevent him from appearing on AEW programming.

Breeze’s return to the ring has been announced for the upcoming Prestige Wrestling show on September 1.

Those that spoke to Fightful put over Breeze’s investments outside of the ring, believing him to have been ‘several steps ahead’ of his wrestling career in regards to preparing himself for life outside of the ring.

Specifically, Breeze helps run Flatbacks to train wrestlers, as well as making several smart real estate investments.
