There has been a big update regarding the relationship between Andrade el Idolo and AEW including the ‘less than pleasant’ exit expected.
While Andrade el Idolo is still expected to perform on tonight’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view, sources have confirmed to Fightful Select other reports from the likes of PWInsider and WrestlePurists that his time with the company is coming to an end.
According to the report, Andrade el Idolo and AEW set to part ways after the AEW Worlds End event.
With ‘numerous’ sources indicating that Andrade ‘made it clear this past Wednesday at AEW Dynamite that he no longer wanted to be with the company,’ and planned to leave.
The report describes the ‘situation surrounding Andrade’s exit’ was ‘less than pleasant’ with others going as so far as to say that a ‘major disagreement had unfolded’, setting the stage for the departure.
While WWE sources were under the belief that Andrade’s contract with AEW continued until the Spring, none would confirm that he was set to return to the company at this time.
Which makes sense, because why would they spoil a surprise for WWE Raw Day 1?
