After the reported Daniel Bryan contract expiration, a recent report has noted that WWE are pushing hard to re-sign the former WWE Champion.
It was previously reported that Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expired following his high-stakes Universal Championship match. It has now been noted that WWE are eager for the Leader of the Yes Movement to officially re-join the company.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, WWE are pushing hard to get Bryan to sign a new deal. It is currently unclear whether Bryan will return to WWE programming, or if he’ll part ways with the company, once and for all.
In recent interviews, Bryan noted that his WrestleMania 37 match didn’t feel right to him. Explicitly stating his desire to wrestle for other promotions, Bryan has recently been interacting and talking about non-WWE performers, fuelling speculation.
The former WWE Champion praised Kenny Omega for his innovative mind, not long ago. The AEW World Champion replied to Bryan in a friendly manner, leading some fans to suspect that he may be AEW-bound.
On SmackDown, Bryan was defeated by Roman Reigns, and was banished from the Blue Brand indefinitely. After the show, Reigns posted a video to Twitter, addressing the situation.
The next episode of SmackDown was announced to be a “throwback” special. A new report has explained what WWE backstage personnel were told about the upcoming nostalgia show.
