Rey Mysterio has broken his silence on his WWE return, sharing a message following his SmackDown comeback.
Mysterio showed up on Friday’s (March 1) show to help Carlito defeat Santos Escobar in a Street Fight.
He had previously been written off TV with an attack from Santos Escobar on the November 10, 2023 episode, with Mysterio needing time away to recover from an injury.
Speaking on the SmackDown LowDown following his return, Mysterio noted that he felt like he had to return to help Carlito, and send a message to Escobar.
He explained:
“This is a solid team. This is family, familia. And there was no way I was gonna leave Carlito alone today.
“Even though family is always here and present, this is only the beginning to what’s to come for Santos Escobar. I can’t stand this.
Sharing a heartfelt message for the Latino World Order, Mysterio added:
“I gotta be honest with you. You guys are family, and there’s a large amount of respect that I have, that I carry on my back to represent all of you guys, and I do it with love and full confidence, and you guys drive me to do what I do. So, thank you!”
Santos Escobar has also commented on Rey Mysterio’s return, which you can read more about right here.
