Rhea Ripley Has A Huge Goal For WrestleMania 39 WWE

WWE star Rhea Ripley has revealed that she has an interesting WWE title statistic on her mind ahead of WrestleMania 39.

At the April event, Ripley will challenge for Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.

This will be the second time that the two stars have faced off on the Grandest Stage of them All, with Flair notably defeating Ripley for the NXT Championship at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.

Ripley also wrestled at WrestleManias 37 and 38, with the Nightmare defeating Asuka for the Raw Women’s Title at the 2021 event, and teaming with Liv Morgan to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2022.

Speaking on Xfinity Hangouts, Ripley pointed out that she will soon wrestle her fourth title match at the Show of Shows.

Wanting to become an unprecedented Grand Slam Champion, Ripley said:

“Now, for me, it’s NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania, and now the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

“To know that I’ve only been on four WrestleManias, and every single one of them has been with a championship on the line, is so insane.

“If I end up knocking off Charlotte and become the SmackDown Women’s Champion, then I become a Grand Slam [Champion] with the NXT (UK) Women’s Championship as well, which is something that no one’s done.

“So, I think that’s really cool.”

Bayley, Asuka, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair are all recognised as WWE Grand Slam Champions, following Raw Women’s, SmackDown Women’s, NXT Women’s and WWE Women’s Tag Team title wins.

As Ripley pointed out, if she defeats Flair, she will have held all of these titles, plus the now-defunct NXT UK Women’s Championship, meaning that she would’ve held every title available to her while she was on each respective brand.

The only WWE women’s title that she wouldn’t have held at that point would be the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, which was introduced after she left NXT.
