Rich Swann Signs Long Term Deal with Impact Wrestling

Rich Swann left the WWE on February 15, 2018, two months after he was suspended for a domestic violence incident involving his real-life wife, Su Yung. Since then, he has been active on the independent scene and has made some appearances for Impact, debuting for the promotion on the June 21st episode defeating former X Division champion Trevor Lee.

After his debut match, he has gone on to have amazing match ups with Fenix and OVE. Unfortunately, a concussion he suffered at MLW’s Battle Riot event prevented him from competing at his first Slammiversary. Therefore, he has not been on recent TV. But don’t worry, it seems like we will be seeing a lot more of Swann in the future.

Impact has announced on Twitter that Rich Swann has signed a long-term deal with the company. The tweet, shown below presenting Rich Swann’s Picasso inspired haircut, said that Impact was “absolutely delighted to announce that Rich Swann has signed a long-term contract with Impact Wrestling”.

…Well, this might be a bit awkward for Su Yung, the Knockout’s Champion.

Anyway, now that Swann is a part of the company, that means he has more possibilities for storylines. He could be the next opponent for the new star Killer Kross. Or he could have some more gravity-defying matches with OVE. Or he could even be Brian Cage’s next challenger to the X-Division title.
