Homicide previously announced that he was retiring due to having a cyst in the brain, with CM Punk recently paying tribute to his former rival.

His retirement match took place on March 20 at Outlaw Wrestling in Brooklyn, New York, and saw Homicide team with Bull James to defeat Afa Jr and Mike Santana.

Santana and Homicide had previously been part of reformed LAX starting in March 2017.

“One more time!”

A fan at the show also caught moment between Homicide and Mike Santana, with the LAX members embracing in the ring, as can also bee seen below this news story.

Among the stars to pay tribute to the retiring Homicide was AEW’s Will Ospreay who shared a photo from their NJPW Strong match in May 2022, along with a message, tweeting:

“It was a privilege boss.

“Thank you Homicide.”

A veteran of the independent scene, it would be his 2002 ROH debut that would bring him to prominence, leading to him hold the World Championship and World Tag Team Championship in his time with the company.

Homicide has his AEW debut at Rampage: Grand Slam in September 2021, rescuing Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston during the Lights Out match against Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki.
