ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe made his return to AEW after months away back at All Out, when he came to the aid of FTR and Wardlow against Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh and the Motor City Machine Guns.
AEW announced that the Television Champion would speak for the first time since his return on tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage, and he did just that.
Joe came to the ring, apologised for his time away, saying that he owes the AEW fans more violence after leaving for a few months, and that his championship is open for business.
Smart Mark Sterling then made his way to the ring, saying that Josh Woods saved him from Wardlow on this week’s Dynamite, and that he deserves a shot at the Television Championship.
Joe agreed with Sterling, challenging Woods to a match right now, before Sterling then said that the match would instead take place on next week’s Rampage in Albany.
