Ring of Honor is currently set to present their 17th Anniversary Show on March 15th. The main event of that show has been officially announced as ROH World Champion Jay Lethal will defend his title against Matt Taven.
Taven has dubbed himself the real world champion ever since Lethal won the title in June. The match was a four-way featuring Lethal, Taven, then-champion Dalton Castle, and Cody. During the match, Taven had Castle pinned while the referee was distracted. Lethal would go on to win the match and his second Ring of Honor World Championship.

Taven debuted his own version of the ROH World Title as he continued his campaign to be known as the real world champion. Now, after months of tension between Lethal and Taven, the score will be settled. Lethal will look to set the all time record for ROH World Title defences with a win over Taven. Meanwhile, Taven will look to win the first Ring of Honor World Championship of his career.
Also scheduled for the event will be ROH World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes defending their titles against Villain Enterprises. The Briscoes won their record ninth tag titles at Final Battle in a brutal Ladder War while Brody King and PCO made their debut shortly thereafter. Now the two teams will clash over the ROH tag gold.
