Because Survivor Series is the one night of the year that Raw and SmackDown Live superstars go head to head in direct competition, matches between the brands are slowly being created.
Already set for the show is a champion vs champion match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch, and now we can add another potential show-stealer to the card.
It will be Raw’s Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins taking on SmackDown Live’s United States Champion Shinsuka Nakamura…assuming they’re still champions on November 18.
With Rollins currently feuding with Dean Ambrose, you can almost guarantee that the lunatic without a fringe will be interfering in some way to hand the victory to Nakamura.
If he does win, it will give Shinsuka some much needed momentum. Can anyone remember his last actual feud?
It is still very much believed that there will be some kind of Team Kurt Angle vs Team Baron Corbin match at the event as well.
SmackDown Live general manager Paige also approached Charlotte to be the captain of the SmackDown Live Women’s team, which suggests we will also be getting the classic 5-on-5 Raw vs SmackDown elimination matches as well.
It’s really shaping up to be a good show. Thankfully there are no other controversial PPV’s between now and then…
