Roman Reigns To Miss Another Major WWE Show

Roman Reigns To Miss Another Major WWE Show WWE

In what is becoming a growing trend, Roman Reigns has reportedly been ruled out of yet another major WWE show coming up soon.

Reigns will be back in action on January 27 at Royal Rumble, in what will be his first match since November 4 at Crown Jewel.

The sizable gaps between matches became a theme in 2023, and it looks like that’ll continue in 2024.

Reigns is scheduled for the Rumble and of course WrestleMania, but will miss WWE’s trip to Australia for Elimination Chamber between those two.

Now, another international journey that Reigns won’t be taking this year has been revealed.

WWE will be heading to Lyon-Decines in France for SmackDown on May 3 and the Backlash premium live event on May 4, and it’s looking like Roman Reigns won’t be there.

Reigns is not featured on any advertising material for the event on WWE’s website, and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that he’s not scheduled to be there:

“Roman Reigns is not on the Australia show (Elimination Chamber). He’s not on the Paris show (Backlash) either by the way, for fans over there.

“He’s gonna be wrestling at the Royal Rumble. And then his next big match – he could do a TV match – but he’s gonna wrestle at the Royal Rumble and then his next match is gonna be his WrestleMania match.

“And after that, I would presume it’s gonna be Saudi and SummerSlam.”

Featured on the poster for the SmackDown show are Kevin Owens, IYO SKY, Bobby Lashley, Jimmy Uso, Rey Mysterio and Solo Sikoa.

Meanwhile, the Backlash poster features Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair and Randy Orton.

Plans can always change, but as of now, it seems it’ll be another year of sporadic Roman Reigns matches.
