The next WWE appearance for Roman Reigns after his loss to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40 may have been revealed.
Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Rhodes, and is now without any championship for the first time since August 2020.
It’s natural to expect Reigns to take some time off after the loss (especially since he’d been doing the same as champion anyway), but we have an idea of when we might see him again.
The Events page on WWE’s website lists all upcoming shows and the ‘featured superstars’ fans can expect to see at each show.
As of right now, the next TV show that Roman Reigns is listed for is the August 2 episode of SmackDown, which is the night before SummerSlam.
Obviously these listings are always ‘subject to change’, and this doesn’t necessarily mean Reigns won’t appear before that date, and it doesn’t even 100% mean he will appear on that date as things could change by then.
But at the very least, it’s potential evidence that we could be seeing Reigns back in the fold around SummerSlam time.
One thing that is worth mentioning is that, due to their nature, WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows don’t get listed on the Events page, so if he is planned for King & Queen of the Ring in Jeddah on May 25, there isn’t a listing for that.
Reigns was not among the big names who appeared on the Raw after WrestleMania last night, which featured The Rock, John Cena, and of course Cody Rhodes.
The opening segment of the night, that took up a large part of the first hour, saw Rock tease a match with Cody Rhodes when Rock returns after going away again “for a while”.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on Roman Reigns’ WWE future, status and return timeline.
