Ronda Rousey has been fined by WWE for her attack on officials on this week’s episode of Raw.
Yes, I also had to read the wwe.com headline about four times before realised it didn’t say “fired”.
WWE has released the following statement on its website:
“Ronda Rousey has been fined by WWE as a result of her unprofessional actions last Monday night on Raw. Due to the confidentiality of Rousey’s contract, the amount of the fine will not be disclosed. Appropriate action has been taken.”
Translation: We couldn’t be bothered to think of a number because this fine isn’t real anyway.
Ronda will face Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in just over three weeks at WrestleMania 35, a match that could be the first ever women’s match to main event the show.
