Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, who hasn’t been on WWE TV since WrestleMania 35, may have extended her contract with the company.
Rousey initially signed a deal set for expiration on April 10, 2021, but Paul Heyman has pointed out that could have changed.
Speaking with the New York Post, Heyman said:
“That’s another funny thing about people who don’t discuss their business in public forums. Everyone presumes that Ronda Rousey’s contract expires at a certain time. I don’t understand why people don’t realize that perhaps, just perhaps, Ronda Rousey’s contract has been extended or she has worked out a new deal and it would not benefit either WWE or Ronda Rousey to go public with that information. But why wouldn’t people understand that it would be kept secret?”
Heyman is known for being very savvy with his words and stirring things up, so don’t take this as confirmation that Rousey’s deal has definitely extended. He’s just pointing out that it is possible.
There have been a lot of rumours recently that Rousey could be returning to WWE fairly soon, but that’s all they are… rumours. WrestleTalk.com will of course keep you updated with any updates on Rousey’s status.
