Royal Rumble Rehearsals Not Taking Place In Tampa

The Royal Rumble is one of the most complicated matches to put together in wrestling. There are so many moving parts and things to take into consideration, not to mention that the match is typically an hour long.

Now, we have some details regarding the rehearsals for this year’s event. Fightful Select (subscription required) is currently reporting that the rehearsals will not be taking place in Tampa, the current home of the Thunderdome.

Instead, the report states that rehearsals will take place in Orlando. Orlando had been WWE’s base of operations until they left the Amway Center recently. The report notes that those who have made it to Tampa already for the show will need to make the trip back. However, this decision was made to make things convenient for the talent already in Orlando.

The Royal Rumble event will be taking place this Sunday at Tropicana Field. This means WWE staff still have three days to work out the rehearsals for the titular matches.
