Top AEW Star Makes First Appearances At Mayweather Vs Deji Event

Former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara is in Dubai to cover the Floyd Mayweather vs Deji event.

During the pre-fight event, Guevara made his first appearance at ringside to run through the card for the show.

Guevara shared his thoughts on the upcoming bouts, as well as Bobby Fish’s pro-boxing debut, which culminated moments before Guevara’s first segment.

Commenting on Fish’s round 2 TKO victory, Guevara noted that he expected Fish to win, but not in the fashion he ultimately did. Guevara also noted that he’s excited for Fish’s next fight.

Guevara signed on for the event as a backstage reported and commentator, but per Dave Meltzer, the Global Titans promotion is interested in having Guevara fight on an upcoming event.

The AEW star last wrestled on the November 9 edition of Dynamite, losing to Bryan Danielson in a 2/3 falls bout. After the show, Danielson offered to shake Guevara’s hand, but Guevara instead flipped Danielson off.

At the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view on November 19, Guevara will face off against Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and champion Chris Jericho in a fourway bout for the ROH World Championship.
