Samoa Joe has broken his silence on his AEW World Championship victory over Adam Page at AEW Full Gear last weekend.
Samoa Joe captured his second AEW World Championship in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday night, when he defeated ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in the main event of AEW Full Gear.
The finish of the match saw HOOK enter the match, where he took out Hangman, revealing that he was still a member of the Opps after he had been replaced by Powerhouse Hobbs in the group previously following an injury.
After the match, Swerve Strickland made his return to AEW television for the first time since Forbidden Door, where he fought off members of the Opps’ dojo before standing tall alongside Hangman to close the show.
Taking to Twitter, Samoa Joe broke his silence on his championship victory, sharing a laughing gif along with the caption:
I heard some of y’all are upset.
AEW is set to begin the 2025 Continental Classic Tournament on this week’s Dynamite show, with Tony Khan announcing the brackets later on tonight.
