Santos Escobar has now commented after injuring Carlito on SmackDown ahead of their planned match at WWE Survivor Series.
Escobar and Carlito were slated to face off at Saturday’s Survivor Series premium live event, with Carlito wanting to avenge Rey Mysterio following Escobar’s recent attack.
This bout will no longer happen on this weekend’s show, following the events of the November 24 edition of SmackDown.
During the show, the two rivals had a confrontation which resulted in the duo brawling at ringside. When the duo were separated, Escobar ran through the crowd and jumped over the barricade to hit Carlito with a sneak attack.
Escobar has shared a video of the moment on Twitter, captioning his post:
That… WAS COOOOOOOL!!! 👊🌴❤️🔥
It has now been announced that Dragon Lee will take Carlito’s place at Survivor Series and face off against Santos Escobar.
Prior to SmackDown, a potential spoiler emerged on Escobar’s new teammates, which you can read more about right here.
