Sasha Banks Returns To SmackDown This Friday

WWE has announced that Sasha Banks will feature on the October 1 special WWE Draft edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Banks made her WWE return at Extreme Rules, intefering in the SmackDown Women’s Championship bout between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair. After attacking both competitors, The Boss left the ring, telling Lynch and Belair that she’ll see them on Friday.

The WWE on FOX Twitter account has announced that The Boss will be back for this week’s SmackDown, tweeting:

Banks hasn’t appeared on SmackDown since the August 13 episode. As she was unable to compete at SummerSlam, a returning Becky Lynch challenged Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship instead, pinning Belair in under a minute.

Friday’s show will feature the first half of the WWE Draft, with the roster shake-up set to continue on Monday’s episode of Raw. It is possible that Banks’ return to The Blue Brand could see her drafted to Raw.

‘Many’ NXT main roster call-ups are reportedly expected to happen over the course of the draft. Viewership for this week’s edition of NXT was down once again, despite a number of previously advertised title matches taking place.
