Details have been revealed regarding scrapped creative plans for The Judgment Day on this week’s Raw (September 18).
The faction, as always, played a major hand in the night’s proceedings from Salt Lake City, Utah, with the group unsuccessfully attempting to coax Jey Uso into joining their ranks in the show closing angle.
However, in the opener on the night, Cody Rhodes would take on NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio, without his usual back-up of Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley by his side.
While WWE Undisputed Tag Champions Damian Priest and Finn Balor were in his corner for the short bout, according to Fightful Select, ‘Dirty’ Dom’s support on the night was actually meant to come from outside the group.
Fightful state that recent Judgment Day ally JD McDonagh was in fact origininally planned to accompany Dom to the ring for his match with Cody, however, this of course didn’t happen.
In fact, there was no sign of McDonagh throughout the entire show.
There was no additional word on why this decision was made, but it this was reportedly not the only change that came on Monday night, with Becky Lynch’s planned opponent being changed as well.
