WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura’s mystery target was revealed on tonight’s WWE Raw as he snuck up on a top star to strike.
Shinsuke Nakamura’s mystery target was revealed by the end of a segment that began with a promo from Cody Rhodes, expressing gratitude.
Cody Rhodes shouted out his WarGames teammates, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins (giving pause for for crowd to sing his song) and of course, the ‘Legend Killer’ Randy Orton.
With Rhodes describing Orton as his ‘mentor’ and ‘dear friend’, he became emotional when he shared what it meant to him for Orton to pass the pin to him in his Dad’s match.
However Cody Rhodes was also the first WWE star to say the name ‘CM Punk’ as he remarked the other big story coming out of Survivor Series WarGames.
Cody said what he has to say to CM Punk is ‘Welcome back,’ but went on to say that there was plenty of news being made.
Cody Rhodes wanted to break some news of his own, right here on WWE Raw.
Hoping to be granted the blessing of Raw GM Adam Pearce, Rhodes said that he wanted to declare himself as the first entrant in the 2024 Royal Rumble.
However the house lights went off and a vignette played featuring Shinsuke Nakamura, telling him that he needed to fight Rhodes in order to evolve.
He was done waiting, he vowed to “bring chaos to” Cody as he snuck up behind his and sprayed him in the face with mist, leaving Cody laid out and covered in mist to end the segment.
Nakamura’s promos targeting a mystery person had been airing for weeks and many fans had predicted they were aimed at CM Punk.
Despite Punk being set to appear on Raw later, it was Rhodes who he attacked.
