SmackDown Star Addresses Previous Anti-WWE Comments WWE

Karl Anderson of the OC has commented on the anti-WWE comments he made in the past after his previous release from the company.

Anderson and Luke Gallows were let go by WWE in April 2020, amid a round of cuts related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following his departure, Anderson stated that he’d ‘absolutely f**king not’ return to WWE, ahead of his and Gallows’ appearances on the independent scene, and for AEW and IMPACT.

Anderson and Gallows ultimately did re-join the company, making their comeback in October 2022 under the Triple H regime.

Speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Anderson noted that his comments were made out of passion.

Glad that he and WWE were able to work it out, he said:

“Maybe I said some things that were out of passion. When you’re angry about something or if you’re working up about something, you’re going to say what you feel and say what you think might be right or might not be right, but who knows what was going on behind the scenes?

“I don’t know all that stuff and who knows who’s calling the shots at certain points at that time in 2020, so I’m just glad that we were able to work it out.”

Anderson has now commented on the possibility of a singles run, noting that he’s pushing for a stint as a solo star.
