Fightful Select is reporting that WWE is planning to have Roman Reigns vs. Rey Mysterio be a straight-up Hell in a Cell match tonight. The match won’t be setting up a rematch for the pay-per-view on Sunday night.
The report notes that the match will have “no frills” and “no goofy finish”. It also won’t be re-done two nights later at Hell in a Cell, as many have speculated.
Fightful also reports that they “didn’t get much of an answer” when they asked about why the match was moved to SmackDown tonight, a sentiment that has also been shared by Dave Meltzer.
The report also explains that the Hell in a Cell structure, which is still red, has been hanging up at the Yuengling Center since 3-pm EST today in preparation for the show.
