A new report has revealed an update on former AEW World Tag Team Champion Sting following his retirement at AEW Revolution.
At Revolution 2024, Sting wrestled the final match of his career when he teamed with Darby Allin to defeat Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Since the pay-per-view, “The Stinger” hasn’t been seen on AEW programming, but Tony Khan stated that he could still appear in the post-Revolution media scrum.
Per PWInsider, there should be some time before fans see Sting on TV for a special appearance since he just retired in March 2024.
Meanwhile, Sting’s former tag team partner Darby Allin is also currently out of action after suffering a broken foot against Jay White on the March 13 AEW Big Business.
Sting’s final opponents The Young Bucks are still in pursuit of the AEW World Tag Team Championships and will look to become the next champions.
Matthew and Nicholas Jackson will face FTR in the World Tag Team Title Tournament Finals at AEW Dynasty on April 21.
