Ahead of Extreme Rules this Sunday, there has been a noticeable lack of match stipulations announced for the event.
As per Ringside News – which has been accurate with WWE backstage reports in recent times and has had several confirmed by the likes of Dave Meltzer and Fightful – WWE has yet to finalise stipulations for Extreme Rules matches.
It was noted that it wasn’t the case that WWE was waiting to make revelations closer to the pay-per-view, the company reportedly hasn’t finished planning the event.
The report confirmed that there wasn’t a creative meeting on Sunday, and match-types hadn’t been selected as of the last meeting. A member of the creative team reportedly stated that “nobody should be surprised” that WWE hasn’t nailed down the stipulations yet.
A separate report has revealed that there was a pitch for the event’s US Championship match between Damian Priest and Sheamus to be a tables match.
