Swerve Strickland has shared some interesting comments on his rivalry with Keith Lee, with many fans calling for the duo to finally face off.
With Strickland attacking Lee at the end of 2022 to end their ‘Swerve in our Glory’ partnership, many thought that a subsequent match was inevitable.
Over 10 months later, we still haven’t seen the former AEW Tag Team Champions face off in singles action.
In an interview with DAZN Wrestling, Strickland was asked about the possibility of a one-on-one bout with Lee.
Interestingly, Strickland replied:
“Timing, timing. It’s timing. That’s all I can say about it, timing.”
Strickland appears to have changed his tune on the matter, with the rising star calling for Tony Khan to make the match in late-September.
Swerve is currently having a great run in AEW, notably scoring a huge victory over former AEW World Champion Hangman Page at WrestleDream.
He most recently wrestled for AEW on the October 10 ‘Title Tuesday’ edition of Dynamite, losing to Bryan Danielson in singles action following interference from Page.
Keith Lee was in action on Saturday’s edition of Dynamite, defeating Turbo Floyd in just over one minute.
