The world of wrestling received a bit of a shock yesterday after WWE announced that the tallest human on earth, Big Cass, had been released by the company.
His release came just two days after finishing a feud with Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank, and there had been speculation that his release was as a result of a lack of future plans for the big man.
But several sources are now reporting a different reason for his release.
According to Sports Illustrated, a number of their sources reported that Cass drank heavily during the European Tour, and that his drunken antics rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
Many noticed that WWE did not add their usual “we wish him well in his future endeavors” to their release statement, so the parting of the ways may not have been all that friendly,
Oddly, Cass was allegedly in WWE’s good books after his match on Sunday, and that his release raised a few internal eyebrows to say the least.
He is expected to draw immediate interest from Independent. You would think a reunion with former tag partner Enzo Amore would be an instant ratings draw for Ring of Honor or Impact Wrestling.
Do you think they were right to release Cass? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
