The Roast of Ric Flair went live on pay-per-view tonight (July 29) and included an appearance by WWE superstar, The Rock via video message.
As a part of a weekend of celebration ahead of Ric Flair’s Last Match, tonight the Roast of Ric Flair was live on pay-per-view and included an appearance via video by The Rock.
Presented by FITE, the Roast of Ric Flair was a hilarious affair, ahead of the actual wrestling involved in the ‘Ric Flair’s Last Match’ event.
Appearing via video, WWE and Hollywood star, The Rock who told heartwarming stories about meeting Flair several times as a youngster and feeling that Ric made him feel special.
Not only his contributions to the industry overall, The Rock thanked Flair for his personal treatment of himself and his family, including being one of the first people to pass along condolences after the passing of the Rock’s father, the Soul Man Rocky Johnson and appearing for The Rock’s Grandmother’s promotion in Hawaii as NWA champion.
Ric Flair’s Last Match, an event not only hosting the titualar match which sees Flair team with real life son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to take on Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, but a plethora of other matches as well.
