The Rock Taking Away From Roman Reigns In WWE Claims Former Star WWE

Nic Nemeth, the former Dolph Ziggler, has criticized the way that The Rock is diminishing Roman Reigns in WWE.

The Rock made his surprise return on the January 8 episode of WWE Raw interrupting the returning former champion, Jinder Mahal.

Since then, he has allied himself with Roman Reigns and set his sights on Cody Rhodes, with The Bloodline members facing off against Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Nemeth gave his view of the story, saying:

“It does make Roman look like a little brother — a little bit…

“We had a year and nine months before The Rock of this two-year story, so I get it.”

Looking ahead at how WWE could redress the balance, Nemeth went on to suggest that SmackDown should give Reigns his moment, stating:

“He doesn’t have to mimic The Rock; he doesn’t even have to talk about him.

“This is a moment for him to be right back on schedule, let him say whatever he wants.

“This is the biggest story in the business, and this is the guy you have to beat.”

Nemeth would go on to suggest that fan interest could wane as WWE heads to WrestleMania 40 Night 2 where Rhodes faces Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, noting:

“We all know The Rock’s involved, we all know that the back and forth has only been Rock and Cody, let’s get back to the championship match.

“I really think I want them to sell me on WrestleMania, not just watching on TV, why I need to be in the building for this moment?”

The March 25 episode of WWE Raw saw The Rock launch a vicious attack on The American Nightmare, with Rhodes’ sister, Teil, saying The Final Boss had “just made his worst mistake.

Highlights from the attack in the parking lot can be seen below this news story.
