Title Change On WWE SmackDown

Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Bayley and Sasha Banks. Bliss and Cross have been in a feud with The IIconics and it seemed likely they would retain.

However, that isn’t what happened. Bayle and Sasha Banks won the Women’s Tag Team Titles on SmackDown.

During the match, Banks and Bayley had some communication issues. At one point, Banks had Nikki Cross locked in the Banks Statement and Cross was about to tap.

There was just one problem. Banks wasn’t legal. Bayley realized their mistake and jumped in the ring to stop the ref from counting to 5. She flipped Banks out of the ring, but Banks didn’t realize what had happened.

Bayley quickly lost the advantage. Banks saved her from losing and dragged her to the corner to make the tag. Banks would go on to get the pin on Nikki Cross after the two exchanged, you guessed it, roll-ups.

Banks and Bayley are your new Tag Team Champions. After the match, Bayley celebrated very obnoxiously, but she now holds two belts.

Where do we go from here? Bayley and Banks have been teasing tension and at some point they need to advance that storyline.

You’ve also got this feud that has been building on Raw between Bliss and Cross and The IIconics. What does this mean for that feud?

We’ll have to see where WWE takes us. Let us know your thoughts on Twitter.
