In the second to last bout of the night, there was an epic match between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Michael Cole on commentary pointed out at the beginning of the match that the match made WWE history before it even began.
With ring announcer Samantha Irvin, referee Jessica Carr and both opponents Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley marking the first time in WWE history that a WrestleMania match featured all women.
It was a hard hitting affair that is already being widely regarded as one of the best Women’s bouts in WrestleMania history with amazing near falls and big spots throughout.
In the end it was Rhea Ripley smacking Flair against the ring post above the top rope that paved the way to victory.
Avalanche Riptide from the top rope on a knocked out Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley captured the pinfall victory and the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.
