A title change has taken place at tonight’s WWE NXT Great American Bash premium live event on the CW Network.

With five titles on the line during the show, the only title change came in the fifth of those five matches.

First up, Tony D’Angelo retained the NXT Championship against Naraku, and Zaria retained the NXT Women’s North American Title against Tatum Paxley.

Then, Shiloh Hill defeated Tristan Angels, and Wren Sinclair retained the Women’s Speed Championship against Arianna Grace.

Saquon Shugars then defeated former DarkState teammate Dion Lennox, but Lennox and the rest of DarkState attacked Shugars afterwards.

Then, it was time for the fourth of five title matches and the penultimate match of the night as Myles Borne retained the NXT North American Title against Tavion Heights.

Eventually, a title change did take place in the main event, as Kendal Grey defeated Lola Vice to win the NXT Women’s Championship.

This ends Vice’s reign that began at Stand & Deliver when she defeated Jacy Jayne, and marks Grey’s second title win in WWE after previously holding the Evolve Women’s Championship.

Kendal Grey Is A Future Main Event Star In WWE

Unless something goes catastrophically wrong in the next few years, Kendal Grey will go on to become a future main eventer on the WWE main roster.

In a short space of time, she’s shown an almost unmatched aptitude for pro-wrestling, drawing comparisons to Kurt Angle.

In the ring, there’s no denying Kendal Grey’s ability already – it isn’t even about who good she could potentially, she’s ALREADY one of the best women in the ring in all of WWE.

Grey has spoken publicly about how she things she struggles on the ‘personality’ side, but even with that, there’s a certain charm and appeal that she seemingly doesn’t even realize she has.

It goes without saying that not everyone gets to hold the NXT Women’s Championship, so tonight’s title win in itself is a big stamp of approval and should be a sign of things to come for the future.

Good booking doesn’t always translate from NXT to the main roster, but Grey is an example of someone where that should be the case unless Triple H drops the ball.
