Florida native and former Prime Time Players tag team member Titus O’Neil is partnering with Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to host the Back-To-School Bash on Saturday, August 4 at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. The event is free and open to the public.
A former University of Florida Gators football player and honorary “Mr. Two Bits,” O’Neil enjoys giving back to the community:
“Growing up, my mother could not afford adequate school supplies and my eyeglasses were held together with tape.
“The Back-to-School Bash is exciting because of all the wonderful partners who are joining hands to support not only our students, but the dedicated teachers who give so much every day.”
At the Back-To-School Bash, students can get free physicals and parents can get free health screenings provided by Florida Hospital. The Glazer Family Foundation Vision Program is providing free eye exams and eyeglasses. The Bullard Family Foundation (Titus O’Neil’s real name is Thaddeus Bullard), along with the Hillsborough County Education Foundation, will provide free haircuts, dental cleanings, and book bags stuffed with school supplies.
Earlier this year, Titus O’Neil went viral with a memorable fail in his Greatest Royal Rumble entrance, but the Back-To-School Bash is just one of many outreach programs he has been active in. O’Neil participated in the United Way’s “Walking School Bus” program, which escorts groups of walking students on their way to school through high-risk neighborhoods. He also hosts a holiday “Joy of Giving” event, where toys are given out to more than 1,000 children in need. With his extensive philanthropic resume, hopefully O’Neil will be remembered for more than his Royal Stumble.
