A major potential WWE signing target has been announced for IMPACT/TNA Wrestling’s upcoming Snake Eyes event taping.
On January 14, 2024, Kazuchika Okada will make his return to TNA Wrestling, seeking ‘redemption’.
TNA aired a video package announcing the Rainmaker for the show, which you can watch below.
The vignette recalled Okada’s history with TNA, before hyping up his return to the US based promotion.
As hinted at in the video, Okada wrestled for TNA during his Young Lion learning excursion from February 2010 to June 2011.
Okada was far from the star he is now during his TNA stint, with his only televised win for the promotion coming via disqualification, with the Japanese star technically winning against D’Angelo Dinero in March 2011.
It was previously reported that in 2017, representatives from IMPACT Wrestling specifically apologised to Okada for his treatment.
Interestingly, Okada shared some harsh words for his former promotion in September, stating that he doesn’t give a damn about IMPACT, but ‘really hated’ TNA.
IMPACT will officially return to its TNA branding at Hard To Kill on January 13, one day before Okada’s scheduled appearance for the company.
Okada is reportedly set to become a free agent shortly after this appearance, with his NJPW contract set to expire at the end of January.
It has also been reported that WWE has a ‘renewed interest‘ in Kazuchika Okada under the Triple H-led talent and creative regime.
