AEW President Tony Khan has revealed that a ‘Buy-In’ special will air on YouTube on Friday ahead of Rampage.
Khan announced the event during an appearance on WFAN’s Moose and Maggie. Khan confirmed that both Bryan Danielson and Bobby Fish will be in action on the Buy-In, but didn’t name their opponents.
The next episode of Rampage will notably be directly competing with the last half hour of a ‘supersized’ edition of SmackDown. FOX has confirmed that these final 30 minutes will run commercial free.
Following backlash over comments about Rampage potentially beating SmackDown in the ratings, Khan noted that he wants there to be a ‘competitive spirit‘ between AEW and WWE.
Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage will see CM Punk go one-on-one with Matt Sydal. Ruby Soho will also be in action, set to face The Bunny. Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara of The Inner Circle will do battle with Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky and Junior Dos Santos in six-man action.
