Ever since Goldberg was announced as a free agent, speculation has emerged about him potentially debuting for AEW.
While the Collision debut took place without a sighting of Goldberg, some fans have speculated that his AEW debut could have been teased on this week’s Dynamite.
On the show, Darby Allin and Sting came to the ring, accepting the challenge from Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara and Minoru Suzuki for a match at Forbidden Door.
Darby and Sting told Jericho that they had a third man, but would reveal them on this week’s episode of Collision, saying that Jericho has ‘made a lot of enemies in a lot of places’.
Obviously, with history between Jericho and Goldberg from WCW, some believe that Goldberg could be revealed as the third member of Sting and Darby’s team this Saturday.
However, Tony Khan has seemingly put paid to that on the Forbidden Door media scrum, where he was once again asked about Goldberg potentially coming into AEW.
Khan reiterated that he has had nice conversations with Goldberg about potentially joining the company, and put him over as a legend in the business. However, Tony Khan seemed to hint that Sting and Darby’s partner would not be Goldberg, but rather a different person.
Tony Khan reiterates that he's had nice conversations with Goldberg about a part of AEW. He seems to kibosh the idea of Goldberg teaming with Sting and Darby Allin
