Jim Ross has revealed that a popular AEW star regularly has private conversations with the veteran commentator to run ideas by him.
Darby Allin is one of the most unique talents on the AEW roster. During Wednesday’s Fyter Fest event, Allin defeated Ethan Page in a coffin match, before Coffin Dropping Page through the box.
On a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Ross noted that Chris Jericho has a say in all of his creative plans. Praising Darby Allin’s mind, Ross said:
“Chris Jericho has a hand in everything he does and thank god for it. I’ll tell you another guy that we have, Darby Allin has a great mind. I’m very privileged to have the opportunities to have private conversations with Darby. We have a very good relationship and he runs ideas by me all the time.
“Some of them I agree with, and some of them I don’t. The good thing he knows is he’s going to get an honest opinion from me. He’s a good kid and he’s learning early, the more input you can have in your creativity, you increase your odds for success.”
Allin previously revealed that Malakai Black is his dream AEW opponent as he finds Black’s passion for wrestling captivating. Black has recently discussed the inspirations for his new ring name.
