As part of a cost-cutting measure brought on by COVID, WWE released several office staff, backstage workers, and wrestlers in April. One of the more shocking releases was Rusev.
Many were surprised WWE fired Rusev (now going by Miro), not because they were booking him well, but because he has the potential to walk into any other company and be a legitimate top star.
Speaking of Miro’s release, a fan has taken to Twitter to troll the former United States Champion, claiming Vince McMahon and WWE were “right to fire” him. They then told him to leave AEW:
@ToBeMiro you are awful. Vince was right to fire you, please leave AEW we don’t want or need you
Unsurprisingly, Miro didn’t take too kindly to this fan’s comment and decide to jokingly respond by saying he’d work on improving. Here’s exactly what Miro had to say:
I’m gonna get better for you.
Despite debuting for AEW back in September, Miro only made his singles in-ring debut on the go-home episode of Dynamite before Full Gear last week, defeating Trent in a competitive singles match.
