A top WWE star has said that their rival’s story will be finished when they say following their recent grudge match.
On last night’s episode of SmackDown, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio took part in his first match since WWE Crown Jewel in November, where he took on former LWO stablemate Santos Escobar.
Escobar ended up picking up the win thanks to an assist from Rey’s son Dominik Mysterio, who helped Escobar as all members of the LWO and Legado Del Fantasma were banned from ringside.
Taking to Instagram after the show, Escobar gloated about his victory, claiming that he had ‘finished his story’ after beating his former mentor.
He wrote:
There. I finished MY STORY.
Dead the King… Long Live The Emperor Santos Escobar. 👊☠️❤️🔥.
Por. Mi. Raza.
Rey wasn’t letting Santos get away with the victory, letting him know that things between them are far from over.
He commented:
Ohhhh Your story has just begun, you’ll know when it’s OVER‼️
