At last week’s NXT TV tapings, some of the matches that will take place Takeover: XXV were revealed. In a rematch from NXT Takeover: New York, Johnny Gargano will defend his NXT Championship against Adam Cole of the Undisputed Era. The pair will be hoping to improve on their fantastic clash from April which Dave Meltzer awarded five and a half stars to.
Also, the Viking Raiders relinquished their tag team championships at the TV tapings. It was announced that new champions will be crowned at Takeover in a fatal four-way match between Undisputed Era, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, Street Profits and the Forgotten Sons. Undisputed Era attacked the other teams with ladders, perhaps a ladder match stipulation will be added.
Finally, Raw’s Tyler Breeze is now a member of the NXT roster after returning to Full Sail. He teased a match with the Norther American Champion Velveteen Dream, so the pair could clash over the title at the event.
