WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY retained her championship in a hard fought three-way match against both Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
The finish came when Bayley ran out to make the save, allowing IYO to pin Charlotte to retain the title.
Speaking at the WWE Fastlane media scrum, Triple H was asked about Bayley, when he heaped praise on the Damage CTRL leader, calling her the ‘unsung all star’ of the women’s division.
He said:
“To me, the all star, the unsung all star of that women’s division, Bayley just continues to prove why she is one of the most valuable players, an MVP of that division, like nobody else. I don’t know that she’s always given credit for that but she absolutely should be.”
Bayley has taken a backseat to both IYO and Dakota Kai in Damage CTRL since her return from injury at SummerSlam last year.
Bayley took the pinfall loss to Charlotte Flair in her and IYO’s tag match against Charlotte and Asuka on this week’s SmackDown show.
