WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has spoke of the record-breaking success of the company in 2023, saying it’s the “biggest year” in history.
If you have been keeping up with the wrestling news throughout 2023, you may have read a fair few headlines regarding WWE breaking records.
Whether it’s live gates, merchandise, attendance, TV viewership, social media viewership; it seems as if not a month goes by without a new record being shattered.
That’s why it’s perhaps unsurprising to get to the end of the year hear that 2023 was WWE’s biggest year ever in many different metrics.
In a post on Twitter, Triple H said, alongside a graphic of all the different records the company has broken this past year:
The biggest year in @WWE history. EVER.
This is just a glimpse of everything that WWE staff, crew and talent accomplished in 2023.
And none of it is possible without the @WWEUniverse.
Here’s to 2023. Here we go, 2024…
The post (see below) reveals that WWE has set records for social media views; merchandise revenue; sponsorship revenue; ticket sales and finally Premium Live Event viewership.
This follows another New Year’s tweet from The Game upon the end of WWE’s Holiday Tour series of live events, in which he revealed that there were four sellouts and eight record gates.
WWE’s 2024 is starting off with a bang with an anticipated Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw; featuring two world title matches and a rumored big return of a former WWE Champion.
