Triple H Changes Vince McMahon Rule For WWE WrestleMania 40 WWE

Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque changed a previous Vince McMahon rule at last night’s WWE WrestleMania 40 event in Philadelphia.

Last night’s WrestleMania event kicked off with a live performance from Coco Jones, who sang the American national anthem.

This is a change from most other years, where instead of the national anthem, the performer would instead sing America The Beautiful.

In an update from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason for the change was due to the change in regime to Triple H leading creative, and Vince McMahon ‘hating’ the national anthem.

He said:

“Vince hated the national anthem, that’s just Vince he hated it. He liked America The Beautiful and now that Vince is gone I guess it’s changed.”

Coco Jones wasn’t the only celebrity in town for WrestleMania, with Jason Kelce making a surprise appearance on the show helping Rey Mysterio and Andrade defeat Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar, as well as Lil Wayne, who rapped Jey Uso to the ring for his match with Jimmy Uso.

We will of course keep you posted with all news during tonight’s WWE WrestleMania 40 night two, including any celebrity appearances.
