Tucker On Mandy Rose Storyline & SmackDown Hacker (Exclusive)

In an exclusive interview with WrestleTalk, Levi Cooper (formerly WWE’s Tucker) opened up about the SmackDown hacker and its involvement in the Mandy Rose & Otis storyline from last year.

Cooper spoke about the fact that he thinks he, Mandy Rose and Otis should have had a run as a three-person faction, especially given how over the storyline was with fans:

“I also think there’s no reason why me and Otis and Mandy shouldn’t have had a run together as the three of us. We pushed that on multiple occasions, there’s so many things we could do backstage there of a brother getting his other brother ready for different dates with a girl that’s out of his league. And that story, for there not to be a payoff for that story, is more egregious than the me and Otis thing, 100 times more egregious.

“It was one of their top three stories of the pandemic in my opinion for audience buy-in. There were so many people, and not just people who normally watch wrestling, that were so invested in this story. Because it’s the everyday man story – who can’t get behind this big lovable guy and this really hot chick? It was great, it was great. And then, especially because they turned him heel anyways, so just have him turn on her then?

During the interview, Cooper also spoke about not knowing who WWE was planning on the SmackDown hacker was supposed to be, despite the fact they were involved with the Otis and Mandy Rose storyline:

“I don’t know who the hacker was supposed to be or what that… that wasn’t really part of our story until it became part of our story, and it was like, ‘Hey, this is how we’re going to present this information, don’t worry about… whatever basically. This is how it’s gonna be presented and this is how it works for you guys, and outside of that, you don’t really need to worry about it’.”
