Two WWE main roster stars won the opportunity to feature in a match for the upcoming NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event.
On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, there was a tag team match between Out the Mud (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima) and the main roster’s LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro).
With the NXT tag team champs Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker watching on, the tournament to determine who would advance to meet them at NXT Stand & Deliver kicked off.
In the end, it was the main roster team of LWO that would end up winning and advancing in the number one contender’s tournament.
They will now face two other yet-to-be-determined teams in a three-way match, and the winners of that three-way will challenge Corbin and Breakker at Stand & Deliver.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Roxanne Perez had an in-ring segment revealing her motivations behind attacking NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria last week.
She revealed that after having waited patiently for a year to get another opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship, she decided to do things her own way.
While she attempted to demand that Ava come out to vacate Lyra’s title and give it to her, instead Ava did appear but didn’t get a chance to say much.
Valkyria’s bestie Tatum Paxley burst out of the crowd and had to be pulled to the back as Ava attempted to maintain order and Perez taunted Paxley.
