Prior to his WWE career, Matt Riddle was a star in UFC. He had a successful career going, racking up wins in UFC. However, he was released after failing multiple drug tests due to testing positive for marijuana.
If you know Riddle well, you know he is fond of smoking a bit of the devil’s lettuce. This is why it was all the more funny when Riddle took to Twitter to celebrate UFC changing their policy on the drug.
The company announced today that a positive test for marijuana would no longer be a violation of their performance-enhancing drug policy. This has been something analysts have been calling for for years as many do not consider marijuana to be performance-enhancing.
As mentioned earlier, Matt Riddle took to Twitter to celebrate the change. He called the move a birthday present to him, even if it is nine years late. Here is the tweet:
I got the greatest birthday gift of all today, maybe 9 years late but still an amazing gift and one more thing my record is 10-3 bro pic.twitter.com/8WBMOH7fpt
