Update On Bobby Roode WWE Status WWE

A new update has emerged on Bobby Roode’s current status in WWE following his recent transition into a producer role.

Having undergone numerous neck surgeries since his last WWE match in June 2022, Bobby Roode began working as a producer at SummerSlam 2023, continuing the role ever since then.

While Roode never explicitly announced his in-ring retirement, he was removed from the active WWE roster internally earlier this month, seemingly suggesting the move to a behind the scenes role was a long-term one.

And now, in a new update from Fightful Select it seems as if this new role is more solidified than ever as Roode is reportedly taking on more responsibility as a producer.

According to the report, Roode is now doing “solo producing assignments on the main roster.”

It was reported in September that Roode had already been producing matches on his own, however, this was for the WWE Main Event program, not Raw or SmackDown.

However, now it seems that has changed with Roode assumedly progressing well thus far. Prior to producing matches on his own, Roode had been “shadowing” full-time producers.

One other former TNA star that joined Roode as a new producer around the same time was Nick Aldis, who has of course recently receivedn a on-screen gig as SmackDown General Manager to go with it.

Some new information has revealed what exactly Aldis’ responsibilities are backstage in WWE now that he is also an on-screen figure.
