Update On The Elite Working With CM Punk & FTR Following AEW Re-Signing AEW

A new report has revealed an update on The Elite working with CM Punk and FTR following their re-signing with AEW.

As previously reported, Sports Illustrated reported that The Elite’s Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page and The Young Bucks’ Matt and Nick Jackson have all re-signed multi-year deals with All Elite Wrestling.

With the quartet locked in with the company for the long-term future, the next question on many fans’ minds has been if this will potentially lead to The Elite working with CM Punk and FTR.

The well documented issues between Punk and The Elite dates back to the AEW All Out 2022 post-media scrum where the former two-time AEW World Champion went on a tirade on the members of the group, leading to a backstage fight with Punk, Omega and the Bucks.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update, noting that there is certainly some “movement” in regards to The Young Bucks potentially facing well-known CM Punk friends and AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR in a long awaited rematch.

However, there is no further update on a potential Punk vs. The Elite feud being broached at this time.

Punk went on record in his with ESPN before he returned on the Collision debut saying that he had attempted to contact members of The Elite after All Out, but the response was letters from attorneys telling him not to, and since then, the two sides haven’t had any kind of interaction with each other.

The Young Bucks recently explained their decision to re-sign with AEW in a new interview, which you can read here.

WrestleTalk will provide further updates to our readers on the latest on The Elite following re-signing with AEW when they become available.
