There has been a major update on Shinsuke Nakamura’s status for WWE Survivor Series amid CM Punk return speculation.
In recent weeks, Shinsuke Nakamura has been cutting cryptic promos backstage on Raw, where he has been challenging an unknown opponent to fight him.
There has been a lot of speculation on who he could be targeting, from Cody Rhodes to Randy Orton, but the timing of the promos, as well as recent teases during his segments, has led many to believe he could be referring to CM Punk.
Speculation continues to mount about Punk potentially returning to WWE at Survivor Series in Chicago, with fans believing Nakamura could issue an open challenge on the show.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Nakamura is not currently booked or advertised for Survivor Series.
As of Wednesday, Nakamura also wasn’t listed to travel to Chicago for the show tomorrow night.
When discussing Nakamura’s recent promos, Fightful noted that talent and those in creative have not been told who they are referring to.
To reiterate, as of the latest word, CM Punk is NOT expected to be at Survivor Series. At the moment, any suggestion that he will be there is just fans hoping/guessing. It’s also not been ruled out as impossible.
